Nortel Communications Server 1000 (CS 1000)

The Nortel Communications Server 1000 is an IP-Distributed, scalabe communications platform for IP LAN and WAN infrastructures.

Core System Components:

CS 1000 Call Servers: Call and connection management service     controls the system software and supports up to 15,000 IP clients
    per server. Supports geographically redundant configurations.

Signaling Servers: IP terminal registration, address translation
and bandwidth control.

Enterprise Media Gateways: Supports analog and digital
line and trunk interfaces.

The CS 1000 supports unified messaging, centralized management, web-based contact center applications and SIP-based multimedia services. Provides support for Adaptive IP client devices, as well as analog and digital telephones.
