More Information

Real People - Real Warranties
The 4230 Access Router is the perfect high-speed IP router for Internet or private network access over fractional to full T1/E1. Because of its innovative software architecture, the 4230 can also be remotely upgraded via a feature key to enable a second WAN port, effectively doubling bandwidth to 2xT1 or 2xE1.

The implementation of standard-based DiffServ capabilities into the 4230 Access Router enables customers to control and manage the bandwidth on their WAN connection, eliminating bottlenecks for their business-critical applications such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and ensuring the quality of delay-sensitive voice and video over IP services. By using IETF standards to allocate priorities to different types of traffic, Quick Eagle's 4230 Access Router provides truly an "MPLS-ready" device, enabling a seamless connection to the growing range of MPLS-based networks

The 4230 Access Router comes with two WAN interfaces enabled: one T1/E1 WAN port and one serial V.35/X.21 port. Either or both ports can be used.

Quick Eagle’s 4230 Access Router also provides an optional DSX-1 port to enable the integration of voice traffic from a digital PBX.

The router comes with a full suite of intelligence software that enables advanced WAN monitoring and Quality of Service (QoS) management. RMON-1 and RMON-2 monitoring as well as Frame Relay Service Level Verification capabilities are all included as standard in the software. For security purposes, the device software also includes RADIUS authentication protocol, the de facto standard for remote authentication of users.

With PPP, PPPoFR, Frame Relay, Bridging, and VLAN, the 4230 Access Router offers the most cost-effective way to connect branch offices over leased lines, the Internet, IP VPN, or corporate Frame Relay networks. The ability to configure static routes, and one or more dynamic routing protocols like RIP1, RIP2, OSPF, and optional BGP-4, enables the routers to link small and large enterprise networks with advanced IP routing services, such as multipaths and path redundancy.

With its excellent performance, scalability in routing protocols, breadth of features, and competitive pricing, there is now an alternative to those traditional, high cost, proprietary branch office routers.
